CARS swerved for cover after a motorist drove the wrong way along the A12 in Essex yesterday evening.
The car, which was spotted heading north on the London-bound carriageway near Colchester, hit four vehicles during the escapade.
Essex Police said the collisions, which happened around 7.30pm between junctions 24 and 25, left motorists and passengers with minor injuries. Officers later arrested a 48-year-old man from Halstead on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving.
