A COLCHESTER nightclub doorman was left in hospital after being punched in the face.
The attack happened at Missoula in Head Street when the 37-year-old was punched in the face at around 11.45pm on August 16.
The victim, who lives in Ipswich, was taken to Colchester General Hospital by ambulance but was later transferred to Chelmsford’s Broomfield Hospital with a serious eye injury.
He is now recovering at home.
The following day, a 31-year-old man, from Clacton, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on bail until September 12.
