A DRIVER escaped with a cut to his arm after an attempted carjacking in Colchester.
The victim was stopped at traffic lights in Northern Approach Road when his attacker - dressed in a black hoodie with a scarf around his face - struck shortly before 3 this morning.
Armed with what is believed to have been a knife, he leant in through the window of the silver Ford Fiesta and demanded the car was handed over.
But the 28-year-old victim, who is from the Colchester area, managed to drive off, sustaining a cut to his arm in the process.
