Robbers stole cash, drinks and cigarettes worth more than a thousand pounds after a raid on a shop in Colchester late on Friday night.
Essex police said three men went into Jan and Phil’s in Barrack Street, Colchester at around 11.20pm on Friday, January 5 and threatened a member of staff.
They then made off with a four-figure sum of cash, cigarettes and alcohol before making off with their stolen items.
It is believed a fourth person involved in the robbery was waiting outside and left the scene at the same time.
Police said the member of staff who was threatened during the raid at the whop was not injured during the incident.
