Colchester-based soldiers have been given an early Christmas present – a new bobsleigh.
Troops in 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment are competing in the sport at the Army Bobsleigh Championships in France next month.
They were given the bob, with regiment capbadge on it, with funding from Active Essex and security and logistics firm Wilson James to help them train.
3 PARA won first-fourth places in the 2012/13 season novice competition and hope to repeat that success this year.
