A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was accosted by a man in Colchester.
Police are appealing for information following the incident which happened at 10.45am on Friday, March 22.
The 17-year-old girl was walking through Castle Park when she was approached by an Asian man who asked her for directions.
As they walked a short distance together, he tried to grab and kiss her. She managed to run off.
Investigating officer, Pc Richard English, said: “The girl was stopped near to the bridge which links Leisureworld to the park. The description provided is very good and so hopefully will trigger someone’s memory.”
The man is aged in his late 20s or early 30s, is of medium build, about 5ft 6ins, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans and dark distinctive gloves.
Anyone with information is urged to contact investigating officers at Colchester police station on 101.
