Three people were robbed in a spate of separate attacks in Colchester yesterday.

An 18-year-old man was pushed to the floor in Maldon Road by three suspects demanding money at around 12.15am.

The victim handed over some cash and the suspects made off towards the town centre.

One was described as slim wearing a dark hooded jumper with the hood up and dark trousers.

Police want to identify a motorist driving along Maldon Road at the time who may have disturbed the offenders.

Later, at 1.40am, a man in his 30s was threatened with a knife in Castle Park and asked to hand over his bag.

The suspect is described as white, aged 16 to 20-years-old. He was wearing an olive coloured hooded top with dark lettering on the chest and the hood up, baggy tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers.

The final robbery was reported to have taken place at 12.10pm in Port Lane when a man aged in his 30s from Colchester felt someone pulling at his bag.

He was pushed in to a wall causing him to fall and his bag, containing a three-figure sum of cash, an Apple iPad and an Apple Mac Book Pro computer, was stolen.

Two suspects were seen by the victim running away. He was unable to determine their sex. One wore dark jeans or tracksuit bottoms, a grey or cream hooded jumper and a dark cap while the other wore a dark tracksuit or jeans.
