The bright and dry conditions enjoyed by people in most of Suffolk today is expected to be replaced by strong winds this evening, forecasters are warning.
Gusts of up to 45mph could hit the county later this afternoon and they are expected to ease off overnight.
Looking ahead, forecasters are expecting temperatures to plummet over the weekend and into next week, however there is only a very low chance of snow.
Dan Holley, of Norwich-based Weatherquest, said the mercury may only top 3-4C at the weekend.
Going into next week, Mr Holley added: “All we can say at the moment is it will stay cold into next week with one or two wintry showers.”
