There are reports of severe tailbacks on the A12 near Chelmsford following a crash involving multiple vehicles.
According to the AA, the crash happened on a stretch of the A12 northbound between junction 18, A1414 Maldon Road at Danbury, and junction 19, the A138 Boreham interchange.
Both lanes have been closed causing large tailbacks in the area.
Emergency services are currently on scene.
