FIREFIGHTERS have been called to the scene of a head-on collision near Stowmarket which left a woman trapped in her vehicle.
The crash, between a white Ford Transit van and a yellow Citroen Xsara, happened in Combs Lane, at Combs Ford, just after 4pm.
Police say a woman was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further treatment. Details of her injuries were unknown but they are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the scene of the crash, which left the female driver of the Citroen Xsara trapped.
The road has been blocked in both directions at the Baldwin Road junction.
