Further instances of vehicle crime were felt in Kesgrave on Sunday night after a car window was smashed, prompting a social media appeal for those with information to come forward.

The car, a Toyota Aygo, was parked in Tremlett Lane, on Grange Farm, at the time of the incident between 6pm-7pm. The people renting the vehicle were inside their home, just yards away.

The incident was reported to police and meanwhile an appeal for information has been launched via the Kesgrave Community Group Facebook page.

One user wrote: “We had them later on about 8.30-9ish riding up and down the road throwing stones at cars. Smashed a friends car window...police were informed.”

It is understood that another vehicle in nearby Terry Gardens also had a window smashed.

It follows a warning from Suffolk Police on Friday following a spate of thefts from cars in the Kesgrave and Rushmere areas earlier that week.

Anyone with information of the incident should call police on 101 quoting reference WO/15/1534
