A broken down train between Diss and Norwich caused the disruption
Commuters faced major delays and cancellations on Tuesday evening after an empty train broke down between Diss and Norwich.
Services between London Liverpool Street and Norwich were affected by the incident, with delays of up to one hour and cancellations being reported.
Greater Anglia said the train, which was heading to the organisation’s Norwich depot, would have to be assisted by another train to reach its destination.
The first service affected was the 17.00 from Liverpool Street to Norwich and it lasted into the evening.
