GRITTY Yorkshireman Paul Cooper is determined to race again this season - despite undergoing a major operation.
Cooper crashed out of Sheffield's defeat at Newcastle on Sunday and has suffered a shattered ankle, heel and broken bones in his foot.
He said: “I could be back in six weeks. I've got to set myself targets and I'm desperate to be back in the saddle before the end of the season. That's my aim.”
