POLICE were today targeting illegal motorists at a busy intersection near Ipswich.
As part of Operation Admiral, officers from Suffolk police are using number plate identification cameras to seek out drivers with no tax, insurance or a licence.
Vehicles were being pulled over near the Copdock roundabout this morning so officers could check information against national databases.
If the vehicle is illegally on the road, it is seized and taken to a secure compound, where it is stored at a charge until valid documents are produced.
Operation Admiral seized more than 2,000 cars in 2008.
