CURIOUSITY got the better of a cow when she put her head in a washing machine - and got stuck.
The bumbling bovine had to be freed by the RSPCA after she got lodged in the drum of the fly-tipped machine.
A member of the public called in officers after spotting the young heifer wandering round a field trying to free herself from her metal captor.
The drama, which saw the cow released unharmed, happened in St Columb, Cornwall.
As a result, the RSPCA have warned that animals can be hurt by fly-tipped materials.
