A telegraph pole in Cressing came down after a large goods vehicle collided with it.
The incident happened at 10.01am today in Long Green.
A fire crew from Braintree attended to make the scene safe, while engineers from UK Power Networks cleared the area.
Firefighters left by 10.38am.
