FIREFIGHTERS are dealing with a heathland fire which has broken out this afternoon between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury.
Four appliances were despatched to the Chadacre Estate between Shimpling and Hartest following a call at around 3pm.
One crew from Long Melford and three from Bury St Edmunds are using hose reels and beaters to bring the flames under control after they quickly spread across a two acre area of rough ground and heathland.
