A WANTED man has today been detained in Ipswich after an appeal on last night's BBC programme Crimewatch.
Mark Rhodes was wanted by 14 police forces nationwide for questioning in connection with distraction burglary, theft and deception offences.
The 23-year-old man was detained at Ipswich railway station just after midday.
Following the appeal, made by Humberside Police on last night's Crimewatch, officers were contacted by a member of the public reporting that he was staying in a bed and breakfast in Felixstowe.
Suffolk police were alerted and attended at the premises but discovered he had left.
Inquiries were immediately put into action to try and trace him, guided by Humberside and Gloucestershire officers, leading the hunt.
