A man in his 50s has been rushed to hospital following a collision between a car and a cyclist in Beccles.
Emergency services were called at around 12.55pm today, Tuesday, August 1, to reports of the collision in Mill Road between a cyclist and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.
A police spokeswoman said: “The cyclist was taken to James Paget Hospital with lower back pain.
“His injuries are not believed to be serious.”
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust added: “We were called at 12.55pm today to Mill Road, Beccles, to a report of a collision between a car and bicycle.
“A rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew attended.
“They treated a man, believed to be in his 50s, who was taken to James Paget University Hospital for further care.
“His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.”
There were no reports of traffic delays in the area as a result of the collision.
