A man has admitted manslaughter after pushing a man outside a pub who later died as a result of his injuries.
David-lee Conlan pushed Kieren O’Rourke outside the Boars Head pub in High Street, Dunmow, on Saturday, April 8, last year.
Mr O’Rourke fell to the ground and hit his head. He was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
The 42-year-old, from Dunmow, died on Tuesday, April 18 – 10 days later.
Conlan appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today and admitted manslaughter.
He also admitted causing actual bodily harm to a 40-year-old man from Tyne and Wear on the same evening as the assault on Mr O’Rourke.
Conlan, 31, of Childs Lane, Stansted Mountfitchet, is due to be sentenced on May 24.
