A WOMAN found dead in Ipswich as part of a double murder probe has today been named locally as Rosalyn Hunt, known as Rose.

A 15-year-old girl and a 41-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder today in relation to two suspicious deaths in Ipswich.

Just before 4am today, police were called to an address in Limerick Close, Ipswich to reports that a male, believed to be in his 40s had died and yesterday were also called to an address in Victoria Street and found the body of a woman.

She has been named locally as Rosalyn Hunt, known as Rose.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious and have been referred to the coroner.

There does not appear to be any visible signs of injury to either of the two people who have died.

However, police expect the results of post mortems, which are due tomorrow, to shed further light on the cause of their deaths.

The two properties where the bodies were found are cordoned off and being examined by scenes of crimes officers.

It is not thought that the man who lives at the house is the victim. It is reported that three people had been living in the one-bedroom flat since last Tuesday.

Neighbours said that two people, described as a young girl in her teens, two men and a dog called Zac had been living there and one of the men was the resident of the flat.

The flat is in a block of four and the back garden and part of the front garden is today cordoned off by police.

Suffolk police are investigating the possibility that two people left the house, walked across the road and through some back gardens before walking through a nearby park and then across Norwich Road.

Part of Norwich Road near to Meredith Road is also cordoned off.

Early this evening a police search team arrived at the area of grassland and began to scour it for evidence.

Yesterday, police were called at just before 11am by a member of the public concerned for the welfare of a female in a flat at Victoria Street, Ipswich.

Police and the ambulance service attended and found a female deceased.

Detectives are looking at potential links between the two deaths.

Louise Rosher, a spokeswoman for Ipswich police said: “At just after 8am this morning a 15-year-old Ipswich female and a 41-year-old Ipswich male were arrested on suspicion of murder.

“They are both in custody at Ipswich police station awaiting questioning.”
