Deer rescued by firefighters

FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a deer that was stuck between metal railings in Colchester.

FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a deer that was stuck between metal railings in Colchester.

The young deer was caught in Colne View Retail Park, Cowdary Avenue, at just before 7.30am today.

Two fire crews were called to the scene and firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to free the deer in less than 25 minutes.

The deer was then left in the care of the RSPCA.
