There are tailbacks on the A14 eastbound at Stowmarket after a car collided with the central reservation and a bridge.
Traffic is backing up to the Haughley junction, a spokesman for Suffolk police said, following this morning’s crash involving a silver Mondeo estate at about 9.40am.
The spokesman said lane one was still blocked and they were waiting for the vehicle to be recovered.
About two metres of the central reservation barrier has been badly damaged. No-one was injured in the crash.
The fire service sent five vehicles to the scene, including from Princes Street, Needham Market, Elmswell and Stowmarket.
•Emergency services also attended a single-vehicle accident this morning on the A1071 between Hadleigh and Polstead.
One person suffered bruising to her neck and chest and was taken to Colchester General Hospital to be checked over.
The crash involved a black Peugeot 207 and came into police at about 9.20am.
The road is partially closed until the car is recovered.
