Burglars stole around £2,500 worth of tools from Screwfix in Haverhill after cutting a large hole in a roller shutter door.
Officers heard an alarm going off at the store on Hollands Road in the town last night around 10.30pm and discovered that the premises had been broken into.
A back loading bay roller shutter had been damaged where a large hole had been cut into it.
Around £2,500 worth of Dewalt power tools are believed to have been taken in the incident.
