A WOMAN has had a lucky escape after her car overturned on a trunk road between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the A134 at Little Whelnetham, opposite the Bury Car Sanctuary, at around 2.20pm after reports a driver was trapped in her vehicle.
Firefighters were able to free the woman from her green Renault Clio but she did not require hospital treatment after suffering only minor injuries.
The road was initially blocked to traffic with diversions put in place around Lavenham and Cockfield. But it was reopened at around 4pm.
