A DRIVER suffered a head injury and had to be cut free from a vehicle after a crash at Mildenhall.All three emergency services were called to College Heath Road in Mildenhall shortly before 4pm today after reports came in of a crash involving a truck and a car.

A DRIVER suffered a head injury and had to be cut free from a vehicle after a crash at Mildenhall.

All three emergency services were called to College Heath Road in Mildenhall shortly before 4pm today after reports came in of a crash involving a truck and a car.

A police spokesman said: “The driver was trapped and had to be cut free by fire fighters. The person suffered a head injury but it is not thought to be life threatening.”

The road was closed off while the person was removed from the vehicle before being taken to West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance.

Three fire engines - one from Mildenhall and two from Newmarket - were sent to the scene.
