Two men arrested following reports of hare coursing in Stowupland yesterday have been charged with daytime trespass in pursuit of game.
Police were called at about 9.20am by a member of the public reporting possible hare coursing in a field off the A1120. Officers located vehicles and dogs and detained two men. Both were taken into custody at Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre and interviewed.
Frank McFarlane, 28, of Newman Drive, Boxted, Colchester, and Christopher Ward, 38, of East Ham Manor Way, Newham, London, have been charged with daytime trespass in pursuit of game.
Both have been bailed to appear before magistrates in Bury St Edmunds on October 12.
