THE region’s trains are undergoing a major spring clean.
Greater Anglia said extra staff had been brought in to carry out a deep-clean of carpets, seats, ceilings, floors and toilet facilities on all 321 carriages they operate. Every train exterior will also be washed by hand.
This work commenced in mid-February and sees one train deep-cleaned per day.
Greater Anglia’s head of rrain presentation, Peter Tyler, said: “Providing a clean, pleasant travelling environment for our customers is extremely important to us and one of our key franchise commitments, demonstrating our determination to make a real difference for our customers.”
