PEOPLE living in Leiston, Aldringham, Knodishall and Theberton are set to benefit from a 50,000 investment for better broadband connection.

TalkTalk is expanding its Next Generation Network which will give speeds of up to 14mb.

Built into the broadband network is the network-level security service HomeSafe which gives customers control over the type of websites their household can access across every single device that connects to the internet in their home.

Meanwhile, the company has also announced a sponsorship deal with Leiston Football Club for the next 12 months and has invested 600.

Andy Crisp, chairman at Leiston, said: “It’s great for the club to be associated with national companies as we look to further our links in the community with Leiston FC. We are very pleased that TalkTalk has chosen to support Leiston Football Club. I think this shows how far our lub has progressed in recent years”.

The donation has been used to purchase additional equipment used for training.

Tristia Clarke, commercial director at TalkTalk, said: “By investing in the exchange in Leiston TalkTalk will be able to bring our great value offers to even more families in the area and give customers access to our security service HomeSafe.

“In this amazing Olympic year, TalkTalk is also delighted to be supporting sport at grassroots level. Leiston Football Club is a fantastic example of a local club engaging and enthusing the next generation to enjoy sport. We wish them every success with future endeavours.”
