A LIFEBOAT crew are in the midst of a rescue mission off the Suffolk coast this evening.
Eight people are currently stranded on board an angling boat which has broken down.
The Spirit of Lowestoft, the Lowestoft RNLI all weather lifeboat was called at around 5.30pm after the vessel boat broke down around three miles off the coast, south east of Lowestoft harbour.
Spokesman for the crew Mike Richford said it is not thought anyone on board the boat is injured. He said: “As far as I can ascertain the boat has broken down.”
