AN ELDERLY woman was rescued by firefighters this morning after a blaze broke out in her home.
The fire service received a call at around 12.30pm to the property in Groton, near Sudbury.
Two fire crews from Sudbury fire station and one from Nayland arrived at the scene to discover an electric heater had caught fire in the front room.
They rescued the woman from the first floor of her home.
