AN elderly woman was rescued from her smoke-filled home after a blaze broke out in a warehouse next door.
AN elderly woman was rescued from her smoke-filled home after a blaze broke out in a warehouse next door.
The drama happened after Environment Agency workers spotted smoke coming from the warehouse which dated back to the 1600s.
Emergency services were called to the secene in North Bank, Wisbech, but before they arrived the workers had rescued the elderly woman who was unharmed.
Fire crews then tackled the blaze which started at about 4.20pm yesterday in the warehouse which was contained books and wood.
