BRITISH Elite League stars Krzysztof Kasprzak, Magnus Zetterstrom and Danny King are all out of work in Sweden after Ikaros Smederna pulled out of the Swedish League.

The Eskilstuna-based club, who hosted three GPs at Grondal in 2005, 2006 and 2007, have declared themselves bankrupt, and their riders are free to join other clubs.

Since being forced out of their town centre venue at the end of 2001, Smederna have been plagued by problems, both on and off the track at their new base at Grondal, situated in the forests to the north of the city.

Crowds have dropped from an average of over 4,000 to less than 1,500.

Among other riders now out of work are Mikael Max and Wieslaw Jagus.
