FIREFIGHTERS were called to Boots, the chemist in Ipswich this afternoon.
Two crews, one from Princes Street station and another from the Colchester Road fire station attended the scene on the main thoroughfare, Tavern Street in the town centre at about 3.17pm.
Smoke was reported in the shop and on arrival the crews were able to isolate an escalator.
The incident was over by 3.52pm.
