Escaped burglar caught

ONE of the country's most prolific burglars has been caught after escaping from a Suffolk prison.Mark Wrest, 43, was serving five years for burglary at Hollesley Bay open prison near Woodbridge, when he went missing on Monday between noon and 5pm.

ONE of the country's most prolific burglars has been caught after escaping from a Suffolk prison.

Mark Wrest, 43, was serving five years for burglary at Hollesley Bay open prison near Woodbridge, when he went missing on Monday between noon and 5pm.

Police launched a major search for him and he has now been located in Cambridge.

Police believe Wrest has burgled tens of thousands of homes and has 61 previous convictions.
