A COLLISION on the snow-swept A12 has created long tail-backs on the southbound carriageway today.
The incident, which involved a Mercedes estate hitting the central reservation, took place at about 9.47am, between junction 18 for Chelmsford and junction 17 for Great Baddow.
Police have said that long tailbacks were caused while the vehicle was recovered.
A spokesman for the force said that snow was falling on the road and asked for drivers to take care and make sure their vehicles are prepared for snow and ice.
It is not thought that anyone was seriously injured in the incident.
