MORE than 150 people in a number of Suffolk villages are currently without power because of an electrical fault.
ENGINEERS are still trying to restore electricity to a number of Suffolk homes that were affected by a power cut in the early hours of this morning.
A total of 157 EDF Energy customers in Aldringham, Theberton, Eastbridge, Sizewell and Leiston suffered a shortage at 1.04am because of a fault on the high voltage underground network.
Engineers restored most of the power by 1.36pm but there are still 15 customers without electricity.
A spokeswoman for EDF Energy said: “EDF Energy Networks staff are working as quickly and as safely as possible to restore power to those customers affected. We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.”
