The Thames Coastguard was called after reports of a capsized canoe in Felixstowe yesterday.
The coastguard received the call at 4.31pm with reports of the canoe, a paddle and fishing rod seen at Cobbalds Point.
Felixstowe Coastguard Rescue Team and Harwich RNLI Inshore Lifeboat were tasked but were stood down when, coincidentally, a person called reporting the loss of these items earlier in the day.
