A FIRE which broke out on the grounds of an Ipswich school has badly damaged two semi-detached properties.The blaze happened at 10.24pm yesterday and three fire engines were called out from Ipswich.

A FIRE which broke out on the grounds of an Ipswich school has badly damaged two semi-detached properties.

The blaze happened at 10.24pm yesterday and three fire engines were called out from Ipswich.

The fire happened in the two brick and tile cottages at St Joseph's School, in Birkfield Drive, and damaged the ground floor, first floor and the roof.

It was put out by 12.30am.
