A DRIVER escaped serious injury after two cars collided on a Stowmarket road.
Emergency services were called at 11.15am to Station Road East, where a blue Volkwagen Bora and a silver Nissan Micra had collided.
Firefighters were also called to the scene amid fears that one of the cars was in flames, but the smoke seen rising from the crash wreckage was residue from an airbag.
A police spokeswoman said one of the drivers was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with minor chest injuries.
The road was partially blocked as police cleared the crash scene.
