FIREFIGHTERS found themselves in a pickle when they cleared 100 litres of mango chutney after it was spilt onto a road in Essex.
A crew from Colchester was called to the incident at Eight Ash Green at 4.20pm after a lorry shed its load.
About 100 litres of the chutney covered the A1124, near the Holiday Inn hotel, and firefighters sprayed the road to clear the mess.
The road was clear by 5.03pm.
