FIREFIGHTERS in Essex are attending an incident in which a man became stuck in a pit.
FIREFIGHTERS in Essex rescued a man after he became stuck in a pit.
Crews from Colchester and Halstead were joined by two search and rescue teams after receiving reports of a man stuck in a pit in Church Lane, Earls Colne.
Rescuers arrived at the scene at around 4.35pm to find a man stuck four metres deep in a pit.
Specialist equipment was used to rescue the man who was removed from the pit using a stretcher and placed in the care of the ambulance service at 6.35pm.
