FIREFIGHTERS battled a fire today at a scrap metal yard in Great Blakenham.
Two crews from Ipswich were called to the premises in Gipping Road just after 10am following reports of smoke billowing from a pile of metal and cardboard.
The smouldering pile was put out at around 11am.
