Three engines from Lowestoft south were sent to Lime Avenue in Oulton Broad just after 6pm on Wednesday evening.
A spokesperson from Suffolk Fire and Rescue said that they had been called to attend a female who had become stuck in the mud.
Water rescue equipment was used to free the woman.
He also said that a fourth engine from Woodbridge was called but stood down and a stop was called just before 6.50pm.
