FIREFIGHTERS are investigating after a crop fire close to the RSPCA Centre in Martlesham, near Ipswich.
Four appliances were called to Mill Lane, just off Felixstowe Road around 4.40pm.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said three hectares of standing crop were well alight.
Crews from Ipswich and Woodbridge attended and brought the flames under control.
The fire service is now investigating the cause of the blaze.
