A woman trapped in a vehicle following a crash was cut free by firefighters in north-east Essex on Saturday.

Two fire engines were called to the single-vehicle collision in Church Road, Little Bentley at 3.25pm.

Crews used specialist cutting equipment to free the trapped woman in a rescue operation which ended shortly before 4.30pm, a fire brigade spokesman said.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said she could not find any information relating to the incident.
