A 28-YEAR-OLD woman had to be cut free from her vehicle after a crash in west Suffolk this morning.

Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release the trapped woman from her vehicle after it left the A1065 at Wangford, near Brandon at 6.30am.

Crews from Mildenhall, Brandon and a rescue tender from Thetford were involved in the operation and an ambulance took her to West Suffolk Hospital.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said her injuries are not thought to be serious, but the exact nature of them could not be clarified.
