Firefighters in Newmarket extinguished a house blaze in the town last night.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the fire, in Exning Road, at 8.12pm after a dishwasher caught alight, and mobilised two crews from the town’s fire station.
A spokesman for the service said upon arrival two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus began tackling the fire using one hose reel, which was brought under control by 8.51pm, and ventilated the property before departing.
The spokesman added that there were no reported casualties or rescues, and that crews had left the scene by 9.05pm.
