Firefighters were called to help free a person trapped in a car after an accident on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds.
The incident happened on the westbound carriageway shortly before 7.30am.
Two units and the rescue vehicle from Bury St Edmunds attended to the incident, involving four vehicles.
One person was lightly trapped.
The crews had rescued the casualty by 7.50am and handed over to the ambulance service.
