The call came in at 3.21pm today after the fire broke out in the lorry in Ottewell Road, Bury St Edmunds.
Two fire crews were sent from Bury fire station. Initially it was feared the lorry contained cylinders.
However, the fire was dealt with by 3.35pm and no gas cylinders were found to be in the vehicle.
